Perfume oil for the sauna

Perfumes are used in the sauna by putting +/- 30 drops in the sauna tub before pouring the scent with the water on the stove.

Pure perfume oils are often composed of essential oils to which synthetic ingredients have sometimes been added to achieve the right scent.

What scents are available in perfume oil?

Fruit scents are not available in essential oils except for citrus scents. In addition, some floral and resin scents in an essential oil are almost priceless, which is why they are often available in perfume oil scents. That is why there are more than 75 types of pure perfumes available. All pure perfumes can be mixed together to create wonderful scent combinations.

Usage tips for pure perfume oil in the sauna

The reason you use pure perfume in the sauna is because if you dose it correctly, the pure scents work more efficiently as an infusion because you simply need less. But then you have to use the correct dosage for each scent. A disadvantage is that dosing takes more time and knowledge of the product. So pay attention to the quantities indicated on the bottles. This is why we use odor strengths for all scents, with odor strength 1 being the lowest and odor strength 6 being the highest.

Use perfume oil:

  • to pour on in the sauna
  • to drip on an aroma stone
  • only a few drops are needed in the water of an aroma burner
  • you can put a few drops in your own perfume if you want to give this perfume a different twist (only do this if you are sure it will be nice)
  • otherwise make your own perfume with perfume alcohol 99% by adding 20 - 25% pure perfume to 100 ml perfume alcohol 99% (this can still cause stains so keep this in mind)
