What is the essential oil used for?

In perfumes, Petit Grain oil is an important and classic ingredient.
This essential oil is often used in fresh perfumes and eau de colognes.
This 100% pure Petit Grain oil from Paraguay is characterized as overtone to midtone.

Usage

• In the sauna: add 24 drops to an ice ball or to the water in the sauna tub
• In an aroma burner: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in an aroma burner
• On an aromastone: add 2 to 4 drops to the stone of the aromastone
• In a diffuser: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in the diffuser
• In a massage oil: add a maximum of 25 drops of Petit Grain oil to 250 ml of Sweet Almond oil for a natural, relaxing massage oil.
• For steaming: add a maximum of 1 to 4 drops to boiling water and steam with a towel over the head
• In the steam room: add 2 to 4 drops of essential oil to a sponge and place it in a stainless steel bowl under the steam pipe

Extraction of essential Petit Grain oil

Petit Grain means small grains and is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange.
The bitter orange is a tree up to 10 meters high with dark green leaves.
The fruit of this tree tastes sour compared to the fruit of the sweet orange.
1 liter of Petit Grain oil requires 100 to 200 kilos of leaves and twigs of Citrus Aurantium, var. Amara.
Petit Grain oil has a light yellow to light green color.
