Oregano is very similar to Marjoram oil. The scent of Oregano oil is intensely spicy, warm and bitter and also resembles thyme oil.

Effect of Oregano oil

This essential Oregano oil is frequently prescribed by naturopaths for a variety of ailments. Because Oregano oil can irritate the skin, it is advisable to follow the instructions.

What is the essential oil used for?

In the perfume industry, this oil is used as a middle note to give a warm, spicy note to a perfume.
This essential oil is also widely used as a seasoning in the kitchen in meat dishes and sauces.

Use Oregano oil

• In the sauna: add 5 to 10 drops to an ice ball or to the water in the sauna tub
• In an aroma burner: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in an aroma burner
• On an aromastone: add 2 to 4 drops to the stone of the aromastone
• In a diffuser: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in the diffuser
• In a massage oil: add a maximum of 10 drops of Oregano oil to 100 ml of Sweet Almond oil for a warming and muscle relaxing effect.
• In the bath: use our Body Balance bath oil for Oregano in the bath because otherwise Oregano oil will float on the water

• Do not take the essential oil neat or use it neat on the skin.
• Do not use on babies, children or during pregnancy.
• Avoid use on sensitive and/or damaged skin.

The extraction of the essential Oregano oil

This natural essential Oregano oil is extracted by steam distillation of the dried, flowering Orignum Vulgare from Hungary.
The Origanum Vulgare can grow into an herb of 45 cm high.
About 35 to 100 kilos of Oregano plants are needed for 1 kilo of Oregano essential oil.
The fresher the material, the lower the yield of essential oil.
It is a yellow to brown natural essential oil.

About the bottles

The 5 ml and 20 ml brown glass bottles contain a dropper and a child-friendly cap and the 100 ml brown glass bottles contain a pipette.
The 500 ml bottle is used as a refill bottle.
